Roll call time!

Everyone that put in an order for rod, please send me an email at pipecrafter@pipecrafter.com with your address so I can calculate shipping costs. As soon as I get your address, I'll reply with your total.

I'll be breaking down your total by rod diameter x number of units, your share of shipping to the states, and shipping to me. The rod and shipping to the states will be in Euro initially, which I'll convert to USD at the bottom. There will be two totals, one for payment via MO/check, and one via PayPal which will be slightly higher to cover their fees. I prefer PayPal since I'm pretty sure SEM is going to ask for payment that way, but feel free to use paper if you're more comfortable with that. I'll include my mailing address in your email.

Now I just hope they're a bit more responsive in their shipping than they are in their selling!

Kurt,
My payment went out the 17th via USPS - Have to keep those foks employed too. After all, they are the ones who actually ship our pipes to customers...

Kurt; Can you drop me an Email to let me know when you send out the rod I ordered? I just want a sort of heads up so I can keep an eye out for it.
Thanks

Any possible updates on this so far? Not rushing or anything, just wondering what the word is on this!

Good morning, Guys. No word from SEM yet. I assume it shipped, but I'm going to give them a rattle and make sure. I'll let everyone know.

In the meantime, my PayPal account is bursting at the seems waiting for them to invoice me....

A rattle would be in order, I think. They didn't ship my order UNTIL I had made payment.

Update:

Got a quick reply from Meike yesterday and sent payment via PayPal. I should be drowning in rod stock soon.

Nothing yet. A package of rods that big probably had to be sent via slow boat. SEM did ship it, and I'll email them right now and see if they have a tracking number.

You guys just have to be patient. The stuff is shipping surface mail, could take a month or more to get here.

Frank.

Yeah, it's going to take a while. I have tracking numbers, and can only confirm that it was sent and is en-route. I had a bear of time tracking down the packages though. Apparently DHL.com and DHL.de don't talk to each other as far as tracking numbers are concerned. Good thing I can read German....

Just a quick heads-up here since I'm on my way out the door, but I got a partial shipment yesterday. One of three parcels landed at the PO and I picked it up when I went to do my daily shipping run. Looks like a bunch of 22mm, and three of the biggest ebonite rods I've ever seen - 70mm. They're darned impressive!

Holy Crap! Picture in proportion a pipe made with that as a stem. You'd need an entire burl for the stummel.

Who is ordering 70mm ebonite? And why?... mini-bowling balls?
