AW FOR THE LOVE OF!!!!.....

I'm an idiot, guys. I've been dealing with a customer IN GERMANY for the last couple months working on a pipe who speaks perfect English. WTF?! Did I leave my brain in Ohio? In the morning I'll ask him if he can lend some assistance.

That's odd. When I bought from SEM, I corresponded with Melanie, who wrote perfect English.

I've not had any language problems either. Both Meike and Melanie at SEM seem to have an excellent command of English.

Well, I guess I'm not sure what the problem is then. Perhaps email isn't the best method of communication. I'll give them a phone call on Monday to see if I can get a quote for the order.

It may be the postage.... I think their normal procedure is to process the order and add the shipping costs to the invoice. It may be tough for them to nail down a quote with shipping included ahead of the actual order.

I'm just getting into pipe making, but recognize many names here. I'm also starting into stem making and wish I had seen this earlier........

I'd love to be able to get some cumberland and ebonite as well.

Hope you can work this out, looks like it's been in the works a while now.

If not too late I would be interested in two 25mm sticks of ebonite.

Folks,

Finally got a reply from SEM. Everything we want is in-stock and ready to be shipped. If you ordered, and want out, now's the time to let me know before the order is actually placed. Some time today I'm going to be sending out individual emails letting people know the total cost of their rods, shipping to me, and then ultimately shipping to them. The PayPal folks will, of course, take their cut of any transfer, so I'll have to make up that difference with a percentage addition. I'll itemize the total and let everyone know what's what.

I'm asking about colors. I'll let everyone know what the deal is with those.

Also I should note, that, if you want *IN*, now is the time to email me and let me know.

Phew, thank goodness. My PayPal funds were fast leaking away on life's dire necessities, like TOBACCO! The Boss keeps spending it on frivolous stuff like food.

As mentioned, you're welcome to cut my rods in half if it saves on reshipping costs this end. Let us know what the PayPal cut is.
Regards,
Frank.

I went ahead and added this to the order. I'm going to post in a few on the "cumberland", and hopefully get a total from SEM in the next day or two.

Kurt, I've been incommunicado due to Hurricane Ike. My electricity just came back last night -- been five days -- and I'm using an old dialup connection until they repair my broadband lines.

But all in all, I can't complain. Aside from the power outage and a few downed trees, we came through the storm pretty doggone well. Damn we were lucky, I tell you.

Anywho, I was checking my email, and I haven't seen anything about what I owe you or your paypal info. Let me know, and I will get you some money in the works.

Thanks so much.

I'm glad to hear you're okay Robert! That storm was one nasty bugger, all the way into Ohio!!

I actually haven't sent the mail out yet. I'm awaiting final totals from SEM, than I'll get the whole ball rolling.
