tooth hole reapair

hi guys! i have a nice old 1965 tanshell for myself to smoke. only thing is there is a tiny pin size hole though one of the tooth marks. is there a compound or black epoxy i can use the fill it then sand?

I don't know if there's a compound, but you can colour epoxy with resin pigment, available from resin suppliers.

If the original stem has a logo you want to preserve, you can make & splice a new button section. Jeff Alan posted a pic of a darn good splice he made: viewtopic.php?t=2661&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I've super glued a knife sliver of ebonite, then sanded it down to form. It's not the prettiest fix, but it's still holding up a couple years later.
