Post by Frank »

This looks cheap enough for turning stems & tenons: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... EL:US:1123
If it's a POS, I'm sure Jack will let us know.
Regards,
Frank.

True, if it stays at $99. These lathes are light duty home shop tools that wear easily. They usually sell for at least a couple hundred, for some strange reason. In good shape they can be quite usable, but they're often worn out. In that condition, once they get near $300 the only advantage they have over the import 7" junkers is nostalgia. I used this very model lathe for stems for a couple of years and was glad to see it go.
