I Got a New Lathe Chuck From Trent Rudat
I Got a New Lathe Chuck From Trent Rudat
And I made a saucer today:
This is the most awesome thing ever! I had this chuck laying around the shop for 3 years, intending to one day have it modified to hold blocks. I saw John Crosby's mention of Trent a while back, and I finally decided to give him a try.
It took about a week, and he did a great job. This thing is a great time saver, and I can do things that were impossible before. I highly recommend Trent.
I am all aflutter.

Rad,
You know that $50 that's "in the mail" to you from a previous thread?
Well, just send me that pipe when you get the check. Sweet.

Kim,
I got the one with pins, but I haven't used them yet. I'm still drilling my mortise and smoke hole on the drill press. Don't ask me why.

Hey Dan,bluesmk wrote:Thanks buddy ! Sure looks like it does the trick....has me wanting to make the move from all hand and wheel. There the time factor and increase in the variety in shapes. What size machine do you mount that on?

I use it on a Jet 9 x 20. Trent can make you a backing plate for it to fit any lathe.
Thanks, Kurt!
