Root Beer Pipe

Post by JMB »

Take a look at my latest try at pipe making. I call it the Root Beer
because I couldn't think of a name so I name it after the miniature
A&W Root Beer Mug shown with it. For you young ones that never
had an A&W Root Beer, well I'm sorry. One of the good things about
being old, you get to tell the young's one's "what all they missed" lol.

Pooka I did pay attention and worked a little harder on the "stem,
shake" junction. Not quit right yet but I'm getting better.

This is the pipe I was taking about in another thread about having a hard
spot that would not stain right. Later on I plan to take KurtHuhn suggestion and do some Rustication on it. Might even try some more wood burning on the hard spot.

Take look and tell me what you think. Don't worry about hurting my feelings, I know I am a amateur so point out where I need help. Believe me, I would do the same on yours. That of course "if only you needed it"
the pro's on this site don't need much help.

lol, random, my wife does a better job beating me up, just saying "good morning" darling. Thanks, I think this what makes this a great site, being able to tell someone of the flaws in there work. I know it helps me to look back and see what I did wrong. Makes me try harder.

Too cool Big guy. I agree with Random on the shank/bowl point. And the putty annology is a neat one. Great way to think about it. Its cool to see the improvements in our work. Keep hacking away.
