These are beautiful pipes, Love, as usual! I always enjoy seeing your work.

I especially like the Clay Pot. The shape, the subtle texture in the blast and the depth of the stain are very inviting. What is the accent ring? Some sort of spalted maple or birch? I can't quite place the figure and color of it. It's beautiful, whatever it is.

Thx Sethile

The ring is made out of the surface wood of ambonia burl..

Oh and heres another pipe.. its been laying around for long as we were not satisfied with the stain and finish, but now I think it looks good enough..

Your pipes induce awe and envy, equally. You seem to churn out an unusually high percentage of beautifully grained smooth pipes. Where do you get your gorgeous blocks, if I might ask?

Thx guys Im glad you liked the pipes I'll tell Sara that she did a good job :D

kbadkar, please do not envy me ...I have struggled hard to get where I am now and that is not even far enough...making it as a professional pipemaker is not an easy thing I tell you..paying rent and getting food on the table is still a hazzle...but one that I've chosen with no regrets for as long as it feels right..but I never did it for someone to envy me

The key to it all is just to make a lot of pipes and stuff will fall into place along the way...

Oh and I get my briar at the same place where I buy all my specialized tools, Pimo ofcource :P

Hi Love,

The Argo and Sail really rock my boat.

One does take a very big risk when they make what they love and enjoy doing into a professional going concern. When you told me you had 15 pipes to get out to a Russian dealer that fact hit home, you're working and I am just playing.

I am happy to see your enthausiasm and love for what you do has not diminished. I will stick to playing and Pimo is top notch.
