Years a pipe smoker: for years off and on. Avidly since 2014.
How you got into pipe making: It was kind of a progression from refinishing to actually making. My career background is in custom finishes anything from structural steel to handmade furniture.
Other interesting facts: I started getting my shop set up for pipe making in September of 2018 and then as fate would have it.... October 10th 2018 category 5 hurricane Michael destroyed our community and reset my life. Long story short pipe making left me with tools to use downed trees from the storm to make
all kinds of wood turnings. But pipe making is what I devote most of my time to.
