Crosby GFS pipe

Post by ArtGuy »

Here is a pipe that is one of what I call my GFS series. (Gratuitously Fat & Stumpy) and is among those coming to C-Bus with me on the 27th.

This is probably my most successfull constrast stain so far.

5 inches long
2 inches tall
Cumberland Stem

Aptly named.

Very good looking stain. Really nice. Color is very appealing.
It seems Cumberland was a good choice. I really like the concave rim.
What does this buxom babe weigh? Looks like it would smoke very cool in hand.
I'd love to see it in Richmond, but I bet it sells well before that. :thumb:

BTW- cool "urban" backgrounds for the shots.
So unstuffy and not so sterile

Please forgive me if this is a silly question. Does the weight include the stem?

That is the weight of the entire pipe. I just placed it onto a postage scale. It is however the weight without the precarb.

Wow that is some light briar--I swear if I made a pipe of those dimensions it would weigh twice that much at least. Very nice indeed.

NvilleDave,

I am with you. If I made a pipe that size I would have to call it 'TBA' for 'The Boat Anchor'!

As I have said many times before John, you are the man! You have definately established your own style, in my opinion. I feel pretty confident in saying that I could pick up one of your pipes and know it was made by you without looking at the stamp.

Once again, very nice pipe!
