everybody talks about lord of the ring shapes and the giant smokerings in the movie. Before i new what the shapes looked like i made a pipe from my own imagination, so with modification... Image

That is cool that you made this pipe BEFORE the movies--you have great artistic vision... I can easily picture Thorin smoking this pipe (or any of the other dwarfs) while sitting around on Lonely Mountian waiting on Bilbo to return after talking to Smaug. Tolkien would approve I'm sure.

Thanks everyone, i made a couple of pipes on the theme and that one was the most successful. If you ask me that is... See and be the judge yourself... Image I have to find the paste for the others before posting. I made a new cobra aswell it was finished yesterday or three cobras actually. Image Image i post the other ones later when i find the pastes.

The new LOR pipe has very cool rustication...very fitting. I wish the stem/shank line had a little better flow. I also like how the pipe comes down to a V.

For the cobra, is it textured under the hood or is that merely the grain that gives it that appearance?

The cobra i polished at first high shine everywere then i draw lines with dremel to make a more majestic apparens. It´s the 5:th cobra i make and i finds more things to make it better all the time...
