Arrows A: Two arrows from the Hewa people of Papua New Guinea apx 47" long. The Hewa name for these arrows are "paxan" which is what they call the type of wood the tips are made of. These types of arrows are used to shoot small game like tree kangaroos, couscous, etc. The white color is made from a type of clay.The vine used to make the weave is traditionally believed by the Hewas to be possessed by a spirit that can cause your hunts to go well or not. So, the weave has to be done in a particular way. If not, the spirit will become angry and cause the animals to run away. Asking $65 for the pair, shipping included.
