Do I understand that this stem is not the finished product?
If so I will refrain from criticizing it.
The blast looks great. I like the overall appearance of this pipe.
The accent rim looks rounded over at the second joint on the left hand view, and the shank looks a little large for the size bowl.
You might try cleaning up that first joint on the shank (right hand side) with a brush.

The question was more because it is something that is not really seen in pipes.
By the way, they say poachers are concentrating more on hippos nowadays, because of the ban on elephant ivory.
As an aside, that part of South Africa has actually had really good rain recently.
