I have two block meerschaum blocks that I bought off of Chris Morgan a while back. Asking $40 each, shipping is free.

When I bought these from Chris Morgan he assured me they were block meer. However, if there is doubt I will be happy to contact him and get his say-so on it just to be sure. I'll copy and paste what he writes me as soon as he gets back with me.

I went back through my ebay e-mails from the time I purchased these from Chris and there's a chance I may have been wrong. The title of the ebay listing simply said "Turkish Meerschaum Block". So, there's a chance I may have merely assumed they were block. If so, Tyler, I'm glad you called me on this before I sold them under false pretenses. I have written Chris. Whenever, he gets back to me I will let you guys know. If they aren't block I bought some expensive pressed blocks, ha. Stay tuned.

Good News...These are block meerschaum. Here is the e-mail Chris sent me concerning the blocks.

"Hi John,

Thanks for the email. The Turkish meerschaum I have is absolutely block meerschaum. Ed Andrew personally unboxed them back in the 60s/70s in Wisconsin after the packages were shipped from Turkey. The real way to tell if it is pressed is to soak the block overnight in a bowl of water. If the block melts down to nothing, it's pressed. I'm not sure who is confused on their authenticity but I can assure you that I have had 6 experts in the meerschaum field inspect the blocks. All have maintained that this is the real deal. They also have mentioned that the blocks are in "block" form due to the massive meerschaum deposits available 50 years ago. They were able to cut the deposits down to precise blanks for duplicator machines. I have even sold dozens of the blocks to known carvers in Turkey who desired this vintage material. Feel free to post this email to the thread if you wish."

So, still available at $40 each if anyone is interested.

Also, I just the "put your tongue on it and if it sticks it block" test. My tongue stuck...more than I was expecting it to, I won't even charge extra for my saliva.

To be clear, I wasn't trying to "call you out", which to me implies I was trying to prevent you from an intent to deceive. I was just saying those look like the pressed stuff, which I was 100% sure would be news to you if it were true.

The fact that they are apparently 50 years old explains why I haven't seen meerschaum that looks like that.

How about we clear it up all together: I'll buy them. How do I pay you?

7'4" may be a bit of a stretch (pun intended) But at least 6' 16" is right 8)

Some how I missed the thread about fighting all together. I'm game, but I'll have you know I'm not an inch over 88".
