Walked into the shop.

Unloaded my new briar onto the workbench, took a picture for Instagram.

Left to order more tools.

That would indicate either a complete lack of spirit, determination, and grit; or that you are one helluva smart guy.

I was tiling a shower the day before I flew to Chicago, so I'm still good to go, and actually feeling a little charged up about it.

Came home to 3 commission requests too, so ... back to the salt mines!

That's me too. Have to catch up the honey-do list that I neglected whilst prepping for Chicago. I intend to get back at it next week.

Went in the shop.
Vacuumed.
Dusted.
Cleaned and oiled the lathe.
Made six sanding discs.
Tidied up my desk.
Threw away used up sandpaper.
Watched TV while farting around in there!
Tomorrow I will empty the dust collector..............Egad it's very full and will be heavy.

I find the hours or days spent doing this stuff very cathartic - put things back, do inventory, clean machines, sharpen things... get ready. Then the pipes are pleasurable next time.

I discovered that long ago. I usually do a full sweep---put tools back, vacuum, etc.---between each project (customer box). Sometimes several times if a bunch-O-pipes were sent together.

The funny bit is I'm not a neat freak about anything else. (Though I used to be with concert sound equipment between audio jobs)

Interesting. I always suspected I was part Canadisian... 8)

My intentions were to clean the dust collector yesterday, but I did the filthy job today.
The top filter was packed and now it's like new. Thank goodness there was a steady breeze and all the dust I created blew down the alley into others homes! The dust the air compressor created rivaled that of the dust storms Phoenix gets!
Since I was getting filthy, I went ahead and drained the air compressor..............where the hell does that water come from!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that all is clean, oiled, dusted, tidied up I can make some fugly pipes!!!

Good thing you don't live in California. They'd find at least a dozen felonies in such macro-aggressive behavior toward planet Earth and its various delicate ecosystems. Not to mention negatively affecting the self-esteem of many of its inhabitants. Hell, you'd probably end up in a SuperMax prison for life.
