The first thing I would work on (presuming you made this from a pipe kit) is symmetry. There's a kink under the bottom of the shank that looks a little odd, and the top and bottom of the bowl should be a perfect circle. The same should be true of the shank. You'd be surprised at how much better a poker looks when it goes from "close" to cylindrical. If you're having trouble seeing where more needs to be taken off, use a ruler on the rim to measure and mark distance from the chamber, Then use a protractor to measure 90 degrees down to get to the bottom.

When you've got your shape finished, dampen the briar to see if you have any scratches left, especially in the creases. When you've got all the scratches out, stain the pipe evenly and buff gently, so as not to remove the stain from the edges with the buffing wheel.

This looks a lot better than my first pipe. Keep it up!
