Hello,
I apologize in advance for my English mistakes, because I live in France and English is not my native language.
Real name : Bruno Nuttens
Age : 40
Location : Drôme, France.
I registered on this forum because Walt Cannoy suggested to me , after a few messages exchanged on pipemagazine.
For some years now I restore and refurbish pipes which I resell (principally on ebay), that allows me to invest in my workshop equipment, in tools, materials, etc... because I take great pleasure with the pipes and I develop this activity.
For a while, I made lots of pipes with preturned stummels, while continuing to refurbish pipes.
But not wanting to stop there, of course I started making handmade pipes and I will show them to you here to have your comments and criticisms.
I am lucky to have a good friend, in my opinion the best pipemaker in France (http://www.pierremorelpipes.fr/pipes-di ... orel-1.htm), which gives me valuable advice.
I use tools from French pipe tradition, manufacturing in Saint-Claude in France, the same type of tools used for example by Trever Talbert (http://pipedia.org/wiki/Trever_Talbert_on_Drilling).
My briar comes from Italy, ebonit, cumberland from Germany
I shape my handmade pipes with french sanding wheels. I don't use a lathe for the moment, but is one of my next purchase.
