American Seeds In PNG...

A buddy of mine gave me some American leaf seeds to try in Hewa. Took them about two months to break ground, but they are starting to come up nicely. I hope they come to seed well so I can share some of the seeds with my Hewa buddies. (Sorry for looking like the life was sucked out of me in the pic, I had seen better days)
And just for fun I thought I'd include a pic of a Hewa-style pipe...

I've been out of the tribe for a month now for a break and some translation workshops. PNG is going through a pretty nasty drought due to "THE NIÑO" (read with a Chris Farley inflection.) Anyway, I'm curious about how my tobacco is doing. My family and I head back on Wednesday and come back to town in late December so I'll give you guys an update then.
