Newest pipe

Post by Nick »

Hi all. This pipe started out to be a standard shape, but the shank snapped off as I was turning it. I guess I was pushing too hard. So it became a bamboo piece. The rustication was done with a three nail version of our trusty nail gun. The stem is my first hand cut piece. If I had to do it over again, which I might, I'd used a smaller bit for the stem. The draught hole is a continuous 4 mm the whole way through, and passes a pipe cleaner easily.

So what do you think?

Nick, that's a really nice one. The only thing I see that catches my eye is the stem/bamboo transition. Not sure what exactly but it has to do with the stem thickening right there.
