Finished this a couple weeks ago and haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet:

(sorry, that's a big image)

The dark part of that stain is actually quite a bit darker "in the flesh", but I'm experimenting with some new light bulbs and had the exposure cranked up pretty high on that shot.

The pipe turned out really well on the outside, but a pipe cleaner requires a twist to get it to pass. I have not decided wether to stick it on my site yet.

Hey Kurt,

Very sweet pipe! I love everything about it, the staining is very cool.

Nice looking horn there buddy. You followed the grain extremely well. My only critique is that it looks kind of chunky in the shank/stem area. Does a horn really even have a shank?

Anyway, cool pipe bud!

You know, I agree - in the photo it looks chunky there. In person, there's no bulge, so I'm not sure why it shows up in the photo. Odd. I'm guessing I better take a different pic if I decide to put it in my store. :)

If you want some one to test it out for ya bud, I'd be happy to give it a good run through. My testing involves a high degree of indepth analyisis, flow mapping and plenty of hands on "road tests." Better yet, I'll even provide my own tobacco for the tests.

All this for the bargain price of 19.99!

Hehehee

He asked for inspirational stuff since he's away from his shop on a business trip.

Hehehehee, I thought you were posting it for ScoJo because it could be used to bludgeon some one.

Well, maybe if you have sissy type muscles like the men do in Indiana or Rhode Island. But us corn-fed Ohio boys can subdue a pack of howling Wolverines with a cube of jello.

Hehehehehee.

Just kidding. Last time I saw Kurt, he looked like he could pound me into the groud with one arm. Of course he is an Ohio native, so that might be the reason.
