How you got into pipe making: Restored Estate pipes for my father's shop and just got curious to make a pipe. Grabbed a kit from Tim West and about 20 years later - I am neck deep in equipment, materials, pipes, & loads of stress relieving pipe making fun.
Other interesting facts: Took over my Father's business Smokers' Haven in 1998. Opened a couple more shops a year later. Back down to one shop now with the addition of a workshop that acts as my little playground and a workplace for professional pipe makers. Jesse Jones has run of the shop right now with myself and another that occasionally work in there. I enjoy all aspects of pipe making including equipment upkeep, making tools, planning, making pipes, camaraderie , supplying materials and tools, teaching, learning from others, and hosting pipe maker gatherings.
