New member from Alaska

Hi everyone. My name is Dustin and I am a pipe smoker from Alaska. When I had time and money (you know, before I had kids) I was a blacksmith and made knives. I never got into folding knives but was able to forge and finish out knives fairly well. Not well enough to sell them outside cheaply to my friends and family, at least to my standards but well enough that they and I still use them and they serve their purpose well. I have been lurking a bit and hope to make a few pipes for my amusement, and perhaps yours. I don't know much about making pipes but as a pipe smoker, billiards always seemed to be a standard of sorts. So I hope to focus on that shape to learn. No questions yet as there is a ton of info already here to absorb but I wanted to introduce myself. Thank you all for this amazing resource, many of you make awe inspiring pipes and it's great to be able to get advice from such a group.
