A pipe...

Post by JMG »

I'm not real pleased with this one. I got carried away on the button and took way too much off. This block of briar was sort of strange...the plateau side left some larger dark discoloration spots underneath. The block didn't have a single flaw in it otherwise, just those darker, blotchy spots that were underneath the bark/plateau. Anyone else ever have that problem? My pictures still suck, sorry.

Pipe looks good and so do the photos. I like it, sort of a leaning Dublin so to speak.

I like the shape. The blast and smooth rim also works really well for me.
One thing that might (in my eye) be changed is the length of the stem. Fifteen to 20mm shorter would work better in my eyes.
I don't see a problem with the button.

I think you are definitely right, Charl. I was running with and idea of a longer stem giving a bit of a "racing" feel to it, but I'm with you...I think a bit shorter would have been the way to go.

Really like this one, looks really clean with good transitions. Bit doesn't look bad to me but I don't like my bits very big.
