Genosse Abi!

This one is UNBELIEVABLE. Don´t you dare to put it into the trade, you must sell it to me!

Cheerio!
Walle

P.S.: Those two blind guys on the log bridge are representing whom?

Genosse Walle,
thanks for such an insight to your likings, but as much as i would like to gift you gladly this pipe i am a pipe-man of my word and my word is bond. This pipe is intended for the PITHT and i am sure everybody here will enjoy this global exchange of positive affirmations represented through our pipe-craft.Lets leave it to Lady luck and the PITHT 'extravaganza'.I am sure i will have some more of my bold Zen moments in the time ahead ,so if you feel something like an enlightening  moment on some of my works, just let me know :whisper: .

ps;originally Hakuin uses tiny brushstrokes to depict two blind men gingerly crossing a dangerous log bridge, a metaphor for the Zen journey to enlightenment , and it can be placed in to any path that represents an attitude to the work we bring and a longing to perfect our skills like here in this pipe craft.
In the end there is no finish line marked overhead "Perfect" waiting in some distant future ,the road itself is the goal and purpose .
I am sure one of the blind man on this painting still searching.

Abi, Although I will not argue that you are still a blind man seeking your way across the log. I don't see any danger of you falling off. Perfection may not be the goal of your journey. But there are obviously some amazing results along the path. This pipe is a testament to that. Extremely well done. I can feel that pipe setting in my hand. Even looking at it it has a since that in a hand is where it is meant to be. In that manner the "Zin" comes through in this creation for me in a big way. Beauty form and purpose converge. I not only like your work. it dazzles me.

Hey Danijel Y,
I really appreciate you observations on this pipe and it is always good to hear about reflections that other fellow carvers notice.

Best,
Abi

You sure did Abi! This pipe is very beautiful and emotionally I am with Walle - but you are a wise man to leave it in the hat for Lady Luck to sort it out!

Genosse Steffen,i appreciate your thought on this!
I find that the joy of shearing experiences and friendship is the root of this fine event Kurt & Tyler brought so vividly to life, above all everybody gives something from their hand and heart and receives it ,there are no good or bad pipes in here they are all just honest !

So ok. I'll be honest my channel ended up 2mm to the left meeting the chamber(huh' that takes a load of  )

I'm working on my pipe and hope to get it done in the next week. It's not looking too bad and should fit the bill just right for this PITH. If I don't screw it up that is...............

I decided to make a new pipe to put in the hat. And here it is. After I took the photos I realized that the stem is a bit of. Sorry about that.

And I leave my avatar as is, since it has hair all over anyway....
