Does it have to be actual acrylic, or will other plastics do? Most of the DIY casting materials are not actual acrylic but polyester, urethane or epoxy resins. They all behave slightly differently.
I have one piece of gold alumilite (urethane resin, not cast by me) that is 45mm+\- diameter by 40mm long you can have. It was meant for a bottle stopper and may have some pinholes in it. It also won't shine up as well as acrylic but it is plenty strong and stable.
I only have a small can of polyester resin right now but I could cast a rod the size you need if you want to see if PR will work for what you need. It will shine up nice but softens when heated and can be brittle, especially if it will be thin.
