Hot Damn, I got it down then! A year ago I asked if I could ever make high-grade pipes and was fed a bunch of esoteric artsy-fartsy BS. Now I know all I need is a simple bench grinder.
Nope, sorry Fred, you've still got to know how to use them once you've managed to make them. That's where the artsy fartsy BS comes in. :D

Considering some of the weird stuff out there in the so-called art world, in some circles farting is probably considered art!

I heard Stanwell is about to hire a high profile fartist to design next year's artsy pipe.

You're welcome to throw in Hitler and Nazi as well, but it won't work here. We tend to make up our own rules as we go and don't really give a Tinker's about some Godwin wanker.

Ohh man. What was that movie? It was a comedy, and in one scene the two main characters go to an art exhibition where the artist "paints" by giving himself paint enimas and then firing the paint out his ass onto the canvas.

The "special of the week" at LMS is a set of carbide indexable lathe tools as discussed earlier in this thread. According to the description these will also work with HSS inserts. ($22.95 is a good price–roughly the same as the materials cost to make a set of these out of key stock.)
