Naww, it's just that when the wall gets a little thinner than 1/2" when I'm shaping I get nervous.

And nervous you should be! I'd be worried to carry something that dinky around with me and still expect it to protect my family! If you go too thin I defeinately recomment epoxying in glass shards. Don't forget to rough up the part of the glass that will be epoxied to the stummel or else it may not hold... :angel:

I just put a micrometer on these pipes-

Rusticated Eltang canted egg: 9mm
and that is at the outer surfaces of the rustication.

Smooth Comoy cutty:7.5mm

Rainer Barbi bent brandy: 11mm

These are taken about 3/4 " from top of bowl.(sorry for the mixed scales)

They all smoke great and ,as long as you don't honk on them, stay cool
enough for comfort in the hand.:thumb:
