I'm really struggling to find anything wrong with this one, Scottie. Nice work.
If I had to nit-pick, it looks like you've got a tiny bit of stain or buffing compound just on the top of the chamber.

It's a little bit of stain. I got tired of trying to sand it out and gave up. It happened when I applied the undercoat.

I agree with Bruce... I saw the pipes on SH table in Vegas... But this one is especially sharp looking

Scottie, that is a beautiful pipe. I don't have anything else to say.

You really should stop bedazzling your pipes by gluing artificial pearls inside the bowl, Scottie.
What are you thinking?
Everyone knows real pearls burn more evenly and taste better.

UFOs must be real. There's no other explanation for cats.

Damn Scottie. I really like this one.
Re: Smooth "Scottie" Canted Egg
Very nice as always. Thanks for showing us.
Re: Smooth "Scottie" Canted Egg
To be REAL fussy? I'd say the shank has a tiny bit of bulge near the bowl, topside only. Couple that with the appearance of maybe having cut the radius on the backside of the bowl just a hair tighter than the front (again, hard to tell because of the cant, but I'd guess that you took just a little too much out of there when doing the bowl/shank junction). But these are really picking nits, the pipe presents well, and is obviously made by someone who has a little practice at these long skinny shapes.
ALL YOUR PIPE ARE BELONG TO US!

Your eyes do not deceive you about the shank. I think I do that when I sand the bowl/shank junction. Most of the time I remember to account for it when I sand the shank....guess I missed it this time.
I do cut the radius on the back of the bowl different than the front. To be more accurate, I cut it on the lathe and then knock it off the front and sides when i shape the bowl. The back (front for some of you) line of the bowl I don't touch at all other than to sand it. No particular reason other than I like the way it looks with the canted bowl.
Between the back of the bowl and the fact that I over define the bowl/shank junction on these little pipes, it really makes that little bump on the top of the shank stand out on a smooth.

Killer stuff Scottie!! Really like this line you've created!
Re: Smooth "Scottie" Canted Egg
Scottie was just looking at the pipe again. Have a question:
Do you pass the stainless tubing all the way into the chamber? I'm sorry I didn't notice it before. Do you do all your pipes this way when using ss tubing? Thanks

Re: Smooth "Scottie" Canted Egg
It does goes into the bowl, but stops about 1/4" or so from the chamber.
