just starting out
wanted to say hi been reading alot on this site
been wanting to make a pipe for a while so i just bought some predrilled blocks to start the process
now to see if i can come up with a good layout to start
i know i will have a lot of questions so thank you in advance

Welcome! maybe a bent dublin for the first. The second is set up for a proper billiard. Start hacking at it and let us know when you run into a snag.

I'd try and get the shank to be at the same angle as the stem where the two meet. The angle change in the drawing would interrupt the 'flow' of the pipe's lines. Just my 2 cents.

The problem with your sketch is that it is not reflective of how the pipe is actually engineered. Maybe this will help.
Notice that the draft hole and the mortise are on a separate axis. A simple bent billiard could be a good place to start.
