My sister tried to make her first husband take her name. The poor guy was actually going to do it too. It's bad enough that his name was Bobby Love....Bobby Wieners is sssooooooo much worse. Thank goodness we all talked to sense into them and told them that's not the way it worked. In retrospect maybe we should have let him do it

Name changes during marriage is weird to me. Bonnie and I have waffled between both of us changing our names to a hybrid, her taking my name, me taking hers, etc., etc. So far, we STILL haven't decided so we've both just got our original names. We're gonna stick with that for now. The only confusing thing (if we both wind up keeping our names) is kids names, when we have them. We're thinking "First LaCroix Huber." "First" is a bit new age, I know, but it's got a ring to it.

No she didn't. She didn't even put her wedding announcement in the paper because she knew I was sending the "Wieners-Love" wedding into the Jay Leno show. Her second husband's last name is Peterson, so she really didn't improve things for herself

Heath and I talked about name changes and in all honesty if it hadn't been for us knowing we wanted a family I probably would have thought really hard about not changing mine. We just figured it would be too much work and think that hyphenated last names are too confusing for little kids. And really, it just wasn't that much of a sacrifice to not be Scottie Wieners anymore

Sas, my mom has been married 4 times and I swear they were in this order- Wieners-Needham-Still-Berger....and yes Needham is pronounced Need-em. I swear sometimes I think she did that shit on purpose!

In China, I just use my wife`s surname Li. If we go back to America she will use mine. The thing that bothers her is if she put her names in the order that we use (first, middle, last) her name would mean - to molest in Chinese.

I think if Jeremiah married Sandahl her name would just be some kind of Hollywood fashion statement. I would have to question Jeremiah's motives though. Is it because he is interested in older women? Does she have money? Or maybe he just wants to be closer to George...

I am thinking about the confusion on George's when Jeremiah takes a seat next to him at the bar during the next high school reunion.

The sole joke in mind when I started the thread was her name, both legally and according to convention/tradition, would be Sandahl Sandahl.

Not exactly something you see every day.

I guess it also mattered a bit that I knew her in high school, so could better imagine her dealing with it.
