I blasted this one yesterday. I have been working on some fine details that have been lacking in my work. They are getting better, but I still see lots of areas that still need work. I have been recessing the face of the button on the last few pipes. I'm not sure if the detail will show up in the photos, but the slot is straighter and thinner with a slight inlet from button to slot. Let me know what you guys thinks, and if anything sticks out to you for correction. The pictures are intentionally overexposed to show detail. thanks for looking.

Stamping circle is off center.

Round the edges of your slot. The interior slot should look like a flat oval.

Next time, match the line on the back of the bowl to the line on the front.

In my opinion, the saddle should have an even amount of ebonite on either side of the inlay. Your saddle goes a little too close to the inlay.

David. Your head is off center. Thanks for the feedback though! Its all true. Thank you to everyone else. I have trouble with the little details, but I correct them one at a time. By the time I make 52 more pipes I should be ok. Lol

Joe, you got a lot right with the pipe too. The overall design and finish is quite appealing, just keep getting more details nailed down. Sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff.
For a guy wanting a conservatively priced hand made pipe that doesn't look like a wooden turd, probably could not beat this.

One other thing, that might just be my imagination: isn't the bowl size a bit too small for the stummel?
