First ever post for critique: churchwarden apple.
Well, here goes nothing. I already have a list of imperfections that bug me about this. Care to add to it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I like it a lot but you need to put a bend in the stem.

+1 to what Wayne said. Nice work with the shank cap.

Thanks.
Duly noted. I was rebelling against overly bent churchwardens and it looks like I kept it a little too subtle.wdteipen wrote:...you need to put a bend in the stem.

I like the shape of the stummel, and it works very well as a churchwarden. It's nice. I'd smoke it!
Ditto on the stem bending...

I also wote yes for stem bending, but also: re-size your pictures! This can easily be done in paint or other "fancy" programs ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I'm not really digging that type of rustication, but the nickel(?) band and the beveled rim looks great! Keep it up![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

A good rule of thumb is to bend your stems so that the bit is slightly less than parallel to the top of the bowl.

What Wayne said about the bend.
Yes, a lot of CWs are over-bent. You want a nice, gentle bend rather than a "crook." A curved form of some kind will help you do this. I've used a trash can lid successfully.
Otherwise, I think it's well done. I'm not a fan of most rustications, but the overall shape and the use of the cap is very pleasing to the eye.
