In the second picture does the "top" line of the stem do something right before the button? Or is that a trick o' the camera? Looks like it bulges a little.
I don't know why I'm being so nit picky because the entire pipe is a pile of shit
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day. www.ladybriar.com
I like the polished shank face. I wouldn't countersink it with such a beautiful piece to be seen. One of the pictures has a hair stuck near the rim, though.

Fail early, fail often. Your success depends on it.

Dear Scottie,
I've just stopped crying long enough to say, I think you're seeing the top edge of the side. Theres a really subtle taper to the sides that kinda curves in a bit just before the button. It was a bit of an afterthought to slim the width of the bite a little. Its so subtle you really can't even see it much from the top view, but I think that's what you're pointing out. Top and bottom of the stem are pretty flat.
Thank you to everyone for the positive comments! I'm pretty sure it's not crack Yeti is on, got to be something weirder. Maybe just bad moonshine ??
That's a really nice pipe, Ryan. The only minor criticism which really isn't a criticism is that the stem saddle diameter is smaller than the shank end. I think it looks better when the line of the shank continues through the shank ring into the stem. It's a minor detail on an otherwise remarkable pipe. Nice work.
Thanks Wayne. I'm torn on the stem deal. I'm trying to decide how I like to handle that and I think I like a step between stem and shank on some pipes. I think you are right for this one though, the pipe looks pretty damn classy and a straight transition through the ring would look spiffier.
