First build
Just put the final touches on my first build. Scope and see through rings for the iron sights, AND a laser built in to the front sight with pressure switch on/off. 6 position stock with adjustable cheek weld, fore grip, and bipods. Ready for anything!
Re: First build
That was really nice of you to make this for my birthday. Thanks man.

Re: First build
You made a funny! It was actually a lot of fun to build and not overly difficult. I just finished my 2nd one as well and planning to build a purple/realtree pattern carbine for my wife next. It's very addicting, just like pipe making.JMG wrote:That was really nice of you to make this for my birthday. Thanks man.

I'm still trying to figure that out. I am told you look through the front of the scope for best results.pipedreamer wrote:Which end do you put in your mouth? SWEET!

Depends on how depressed you are. And in the same vein, where does the 'baccy go? Would appear to be self-lighting. Will it pass a pipe cleaner?pipedreamer wrote:Which end do you put in your mouth? SWEET!

5.56
Yes Jesse, I have indeed discovered a new blasting process. I load up with blanks, fill the barrell with blasting media, set the pipe up at 300 yds, adjust for windage and elevation, and unleash hell.

Re: First build
Very nice! I would love to build one on an AR-10 lower in .308 one of these days. When do we get to see pics of the target?

Re: First build
I took it out a few days ago, but didn't keep the targets. Sub-MOA with the iron sights. .5" groups with the scope @ 100 yds.

Re: First build
I can't even see the target anymore at 100 yds with irons. But with a scope? It sounds like you have a real nice shooter there.mightysmurf8201 wrote:I took it out a few days ago, but didn't keep the targets. Sub-MOA with the iron sights. .5" groups with the scope @ 100 yds.

I'm not a gun person so excuse my ignorant question.
Did you machine all those parts or is it like a kit you ordered and then machined a couple things? Very cool either way, just curious.
