Well I owe much to this forum.

I've seen and read so many techniques that helped me develop my style of pipemaking.

tyler is a very kind, generous and warm hearted man. He has helped me countless times and never makes me feel like I am a burden. Cheers

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

Well this is all a bit much, but thanks.

Right time, right place, right interests; I didn't have a 10-year plan that this is all the fruition of, but I am glad it has worked out like it has. As the winning KC names were being read off, I must admit feeling a bit proud. One after the other were forum members, and I felt a little like a big brother watching his brothers succeed. That was fun.

Thanks for the kind words, and thanks to all for making PMF what it is. I learn and benefit as much as anyone from the forum. I'm glad it's here for all of us.

Tyler, this forum, and many of it's generous members have been a huge help and make this community so enjoyable. George is right about Tyler's influence and it's very much appreciated. There are some other guys out there, like Premal, who are carrying on what Tyler started and continue to make this a great community.

P.s. For the record, I care what Ryan thinks...because I'm afraid he'll lock me up in a dungeon so he can brush my beard whenever he wants.

It's the dungeon part that concerns me. I don't want any more lotion on my skin, damn it!

Tyler's website videos is where I started my pipemaking career seven years ago. PMF was my next stop linked from his website. Tyler is an all around great guy not only in his contributions to this forum but to the pipe making community in general. Tyler you're the best and I only took the time to write this out because I know the attention is making you a bit uncomfortable. :D

I'm trying to make everyone uncomfortable, so Tyler doesn't feel as awkward.

If it makes you feel better Tyler just remember that since I am British I look down on you all in a paternalistic and condescending manner.

 So it's not only me!
I think me and Wayne joined about the same time. Time really flies!
A big thanks, Tyler and everybody that contributes and help. Without PMF, this South African would have been nowhere.

My favorite quote by Alan Rickman: “Why don't I like you?"

"Because you think I'm an asshole, and I'm not really, I'm just British and, well, you're not.”

A rather quaint sentiment, given that the pink areas are what USED to be, and the names underlined in red are all that remain:

Too bad his pipes suck.

Seriously though, without Tyler and this forum, most of us would still be banging blocks together and wondering if we'd made a pipe yet. He'll deny this to Hell and back but it's true.

I agree with everyone's comments but I particularly like what Scottie said: we could all be waiting to knife each other but this forum has built a camaraderie rarely seen in a niche like this. Thanks to Tyler for setting the cogs in motion and thanks to everyone for keeping them turning.
