final buff wheel

Post by notow1 »

After searching the forum to find what to use for a final dry buff I'm still not sure. I thought the Beal wax buff wheel would be a good choice but then I saw the loose wheel that Delvie's sells. what works best for a final buff, a loose wheel or a stitched wheel? Thanks for any suggestions,Norm.

I like to use a soft, unstiched, flannel buff as my last step. I also crank the speed way down as well.

Double raised cotton is what I use for all my buffs, softest buff you can get and work very nicely.

I find my tripoli wheel likes to take the stain off around edges unless I use really light contact does the softer buff fix that? think currently using loose sewn cotton

I've had good luck using a string wheel for all final buffs.

Try slowing the wheel down if you are able. It helped me a lot.

Tripoli, in fact any buff will take off stain on edges unless you are very careful.
