First handcut stem, ready for critique.

Post by phmann »

I suppose one could call it a "Bulldog". The stem has a Snake Wood inlay, which was a bitch to drill through! I exploded two pieces trying to drill a 1" long hole. There is a stainless steel tenon running inside the Snake Wood and into each side of ebonite, to help keep the wood from being ruined by smoke and also because I wasn't sure if it was okay to smoke through Snake Wood. The Snake Wood has a polished shellac finish and should hold up well. Your pipe has a chamber diameter of 7/8", is 1.5" deep, and the pipe weighs 80 grams (2.8 ounces).
