mammoth teeth

Post by wisemanpipes »

i know that mammoth bone or ivory is used often for shank extensions or rings but has anyone actually used mammoth teeth? if so, similarities, ease of turning, stability, colour, grain pattern etc..

heres a link

or even wooly rhino teeth and bone?

it looks super cool but costs alot. i have quiet a bit of wolly mammoth *ivory* but it would be neat to try and turn teeth rings?

You can work teeth with a rotary tool and dental burrs- just like a dentist.
