Re: the weekend project
looking good. not a fan of the shape myself, but it looks well executed. is that a dunhill design/shape?
Re: the weekend project
Nice start. Looking forward to the completed pictures. Is that a built in wind screen? I've never seen that before.
Re: the weekend project
Yes it is a dunhill patented shape from 1909 ish Hey wise, is it me or are you not much of a fan of anything? ha

Nice start Bob!
I don't know how that Dunhill patent you're using as a template looks, so with that in mind I might not be able to provide valuable critique.
However I think it needs more work on the horn and stem, so it matches the thickness of the shank. There also seems to be some glue-residues between the horn and shank.
Regarding the colouring, natural or with brown contrast stains with natural top coat works great with horn accents (in my opinion , others may think different)
Best regards, Jon

Hehe.. Maybe "template" was the wrong word, google translate gets the translation of tricky words wrong sometimes. It sounded about right to me in the Swedish translation
I thought you wanted feedback on the pipe as a whole, as like it was ready for colour and buff. Keep at it man
