I propose this for those that can attend:
Lunch at Dos Compadres, then retire next door for a few bowls and some good discussion at the Hemmingway.
Anyone in?

I enjoyed it too! Tha is for coming guys.
This gives me an idea. In the bamboo rod making community they have annual "gatherings". With the increasing popularity of pipe making I wonder if we couldn't do similar. The one I went to was in Mountain Home, AK. The eventwas held at a resort on the White river, and had fishing, rod making seminars, and demo casting of various makers' rods. It was a hoot.
The obvious thing to do would be tie such an event to a pipe show, and maybe have an extra day, before or after, with making seminars. The Chicago show obvious has the beginners course, but I bet there would be a draw to intermediate and advanced skills lessons.
hmmmm....

Sign me up! I'm still trying to process all the little tidbits of information I absorbed yesterday before they disappear.

Attending a show is high on my list of things to do. Tyler, your idea would move it up a little higher, even.
Re: West Texas Pipe Makers Hoooodooowwwwwnnnnn
Probably not next year, but the one after, I would go to a seminar. Sounds like fun.
