Site updates, galleries, etc

Post by TreverT »

Figured I might as well post this here too!

Just for general amusement, I've finished a host of yearly updates to our
website. Typically this pile of work lurks around until February or March,
but this year I resolved to tackle it early and get it done. Interested
folks can see my personal picks for the best of my work in 2004 at these
gallery links:
http://www.talbertpipes.pair.com/briargallery.shtml
http://www.talbertpipes.pair.com/mortagallery.shtml

The morta gallery is kind of boring this year, though - this was definitely
a stabilizing year for morta rather than a wild year. Still, classical
shape fans may enjoy. There are some new photos of the progress of my
personal meers under "Resources" here:
http://www.talbertpipes.pair.com/resmisc.shtml

Other changes include dropping some pages that I never had the time to
bother with updating (I think the "What's on the workbench ?" page was last
updated in Spring of 2004) and generally tidying up and trimming down. A
lot of the lower-profit factory pipes have been dropped from the "Other
Pipes" shop page, not because we've stopped selling them (we have a wall
full) but because we can't afford to sell them online. Just not enough
hours in the day, and I'd rather be making my own pipes! Production is
still pretty slow due to the amount of non-pipe projects we have (renovating
the house being number one). For curiosity's sake, I checked our records
and found that we did 4 Halloween pipes in 2004, 18 Talbert Briars (down
from around 40-50 per year in the US), 29 Talbert Mortas, and 75 Ligne
Bretagnes. Yeowza. My goal this year is to double the number of Talbert
Briars. We'll see...
Happy Smoking,
Trever Talbert

Trevor great work and the site looks real good but I still can't find a Talbert for sale there. I saw a picture of the store a while back on your site and they had Talbert's for sale. I guess I will have to come to France to see any Talbert's for sale.

I bet he'd be willing to sell some of the Lexington Talberts at a cheap price. I think he's fond of his cousins, but some of the more distant relations I'm sure he'd be willing to part with.

My wife was coming into the room as I was bringing up your best Talbert briar page. Her comment was "Wow". Couldn't have said it better myself. Outstanding work Trever.
