The handiest little thing...

Ok, I know many of you have real nice shops with great lighting, and I also know this is probably old news for some of you too... that said, this is the handiest thing in the world for me personally and I did not know these things existed until I got a beat up used one at a garage sale:

It's a portable gooseneck lamp with an electro-magnetic base.

You stick it on anything metal: like the side of a drill press, or lathe, or sander, and it gives you a real nice light exactly where you need it! It's a real strong e-magnet and I've had no problems with it even sliding a bit.

Good stuff I tell ya! A quick search via Bing gave a ton of places selling them.

Great idea. I've got terrible lighting in my "shop". I might have to pick one up.

Me too. I've been looking for something, but didn't want to have to buy four lights.....portable, nice.
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day.
