A Couple Teipen Dublins

Post by wdteipen »

Here's a couple Dublins I finished up this weekend. The first on is a sandblasted freehand Dublin with an elephant ivory shank ring. It's not the best picture of the pipe itself but I like the overall composition of the photo. The second is a bit more traditional. The shank ring is deer antler.

And for those that are wondering, even though you can't see it real well in the photos, both tobacco chambers are sanded AND coated.

I prefer the languid one although would be happy to date either.

Wayne! Shame on you! Ice in your drink! That's worse than an unsanded tobacco chamber!

I don't know why I comment on your pipes anymore. I'm always speechless. You my friend are making some top notch stuff. Very impressive. One of these days when I haven't spent my extra $$$ on briar or other materials I will own one of your masterpieces.

Nice pair of Dublins! I especially like the second one. It's rare you see a stout shank/stem on a Dublin and I think this one really works. Would love to see more angles (especially since you got the obligatory profile view in :D ) Nice work!.

I like the photo work too.
