Kansas City Pipe Show

Well from the responses, it appears that there will be a pretty big attendance at the Chicago pipe show. While I wish I could make it, this poor college kid can't afford to go to the windy city this year.

I was however considering attending the Kansas City show later this year. Are any of you guys headed to that one? It's actually feasible to travel from here to there by car, so I figured I'd check it out.

I won't be there, but I just sent in the "Eskidesian" for the carving contest. Be sure to stop by and point out to all the judges how cool you think mine looks. ...unless you submitted one of your own. Did you carve for the show by the way?

Quite a collection of ne'er do wells (and lots of familiar names). I wish I could be there to see all the entries. Hope someone will take some photos and post them here for us to drool over.

I can't wait to go. This will be my first pipe show.

Actually, if this works like last year they will not allow any photos of the pipes. They don't want any photos out before the article appears in P&T. The first year there were some issues with that, and I think last year they worked pretty hard to keep the wraps on it.

After seeing the roster of pipe makers entering this year it would seem I'm destined to be an also ran, once again. I suspect, as in the last two years, I'll be in good company. The competition just keeps getting stiffer for this contest, which is great! Can't wait to see the pipes!

Not of the 7 day set, anyway... Not sure about the entries, but I don't think they want pictures taken of any of them either...

You'll see a lot of great pipes at the show--lots to choose from! And yes, I'll have a table. It will be great to see you there!
