thanks for hosting guy, there are some great looking pipes in the lot! #7 was my effort, which has A stem made from the "Wayne" material (not a preform).
I really don't know if it is good or bad that it looks like a preform. Regardless, congrats to the winner. I am interested in seeing the results from the others forum members picks.

I get the impression there are a lot more photos than just these profiles.

If not, I say the judges are nuts -- based on just the photos posted.

I thought this was a contest of trick shots with a pool table. I'm so disappointed.

Thanks, Ernie, Adam, and everyone else that gave their input. I'm the maker of #5, thanks for the congrats everyone. That is a great collection of nice billiards! I've learned quite a bit from this contest, the forum and fellow pipe makers, and hope to continue to grow as a pipe maker. Sadly I haven't been able to make a pipe in a good while. Seems like every winter I get bombarded with guitar repair jobs, but they seem to be slowing down, so I should be able to get back to the grinding wheel very soon.

This has been a lot of fun to participate in and to watch. And Ernie you did a wonderful job of keeping us in suspense for soooo long. Thank you for putting this on.

In the spirit of full disclosure I will out myself as well. I am the maker of No. 11 the Canadian that, apparently, does not belong in a Billiard contest. :?

Congrats Abe. Nice job on that pipe!

I'll lay claim to #3. I hadn't realized how non-precise I was until trying to make something perfect for the contest. It helped me a lot. Thanks to all and congrats to the winners.
