hi all , the pipe making Gods smiled on me today got this for $30 American a little cleaning and here it is.
Called Clausing and they said they made about 20 of them in the 30's serial # Ithink says mine is #11 thanx Bob Clark

Nice, wish I could pick up a turret for my lathe at that price, sadly being a populat lathe they go for good money, at least 20 times what you paid

It took me a minute to figure out how that works, but I think I've got it and if I'm right... that's AWESOME!
Just to confirm, you can chuck up a bit in each of those... chucks... then rotate and lock into place depending on which you need to use. Is that right?

I have to ask, is that an old atlas lathe? I think I have nearly the exact same model. I picked up on the 954 stamp on the inside of the ways.

I'm not sure how well they work, because I haven't bought one, but Grizzly Tools sells Tailstock Turrets in MT2 ($62.25), MT3 ($81.) and MT4 ($99.95)
I may have to pick one up soon and give it a try at this price.
