first pipe

Post by NickTraquair »

This is the first pipe I've ever completed, for a good friend of mine.

Hard Canadian maple, with a spacer made from brass, and a Nickel from this year. Stem is made of ebony. No stain, he likes blonde wood, so only a wax polish.

Nothing fancy, but hopefully this will be just the thing for those cold winter days!

It was a fun little experiment, I hope he likes it!

Wow that's great! What is it with all these new pipe makers whose first pipes are better than the dozen that are under my belt. It makes me realize how many truly talented people there are out there.

Seriously though, good job. I look forward to your future work.

for the first pipe - this is great... just change the ebony for ebonite (vulcanite)... and make some more pipes...
