A Squashed Tomato squashed my...errr....tomatoes!

Post by SimeonTurner »

I hesitate to post this, as I am sure you mongrels will all take great pleasure in making fun of me for it, but in retrospect it is damn funny, so what the hell.

I was shaping a squashed tomato last night (a big one too), and was happily sanding away at the sanding disc. My disc sits slightly higher than my knees, and I had my body positioned so that my legs were on either side of it, with my elbows resting on my knees as I worked. I'm not sure what happened, but suddenly the pipe slipped from my fingers, and the disc flung it with great force directly into my waiting crotch.

Needless to say, I spent about 20 minutes NOT shaping a pipe, but rather taking deep breaths and resting my forehead on the workbench while waiting for the misery to end.

Let this be a lesson to you new pipe makers out there! Eye protection is a good idea, but a cup is required when shaping a pipe! :P

Luckily, I have a gigantic pair, so the pipe had quite a cushioned landing pad. :P

Simian,

Maybe you should arrange your sanding wheel setup differently. I know I probably would if that were to happen to me. :P

Too bad you weren't recording a "how to" video when that happened. You could have gotten rich on youtube with that one.
