yeah its a nose warmer for sure! I had a bit get stuck in the stem and since this is a personal pipe I figured' why waste an otherwise good stem? so i cut it short

That acrylic is a bugger, eh? I've done the same more than once. You really have to take it slow when drilling it and make sure to not let it heat up too much. Fun hobby though isn't it?
