I think that looks *very* nice. You should be quite proud of it. I'm actually right in the middle of a couple of wide shanked Ukeleleish pieces right now. Great work!

Great work! I think its ready to be sold. Not sure of what you should ask though. I'm sure someone will come up with some pricing for ya.

Beautiful pipe! I think the shape really shows off the grain. BTW, what material did you use for your insert?

Dave,

Very nice looking pipe. The stem inlay is particularly impressive.

It is not unusual to have some grain tear out with inlay woods. One thing to do is fill the tears with super glue. Since it is not a fill on the briar, it is my opinion that it is no big deal to smooth out the wood in this way.

I have tossed around several ideas in my head with wide shanks like yours. I think you have motivated me to give some of them a try. Cool pipe.

Very nice! It looks warm and inviting, actually. Very sleek and smooth. The finish has really enhanced the grain patterning. A bit short for my tastes, but I'm a big guy, so go figure.

Don't know if it's still on the market (I'm doing a forum no-no and resurrecting a deceased thread), but I say you could easily sell it for USD$150, and possibly $180. However, I suggest that you remove the traces of finish from the inside of the bowl.

Gatorade,
Very nice piece, the grain is beautiful and is finely finished. Do you have a pic of the bottom/top view I want more?

Er, out of curiosity, what do you mean, "Your specialty"? Interesting phrasing if you mean what I think you do...

Dave,

A slam dunk...

Do yourself a favor, and don't sell it right away... let it settle in our mind before you finalize your price... setting the tone is important as random mentioned... the first move sets the game up...
