since harbour freight no longer carries them. the closest i found was a wilton for 282.00 plus shipping from enco. did a google check and came up prof. equipment in the thousands.

anyone have line on self centering drill press vises

They have a four inch and a two inch. I thought I got a three inch, but I do not see it there, so I may have the two inch. I remember that with shipping the whole think topped out at around $40. What I did get looks just like the two inch pictured (don't know anything about the four inch with the swivel base).
To get it to fit on your drill press, you will have to make a base. I glued two pieces of 5/8 inch plywood together, putting about 200 pounds on them while the glue dried. I got some carriage bolts, some washers, countersunk the holes for the carriage bolts so the base fits flush on the drill press table, and away I went. The one I got works like a charm.
